Vibranium Labs raises $4.6M for AI agents to fix IT issues caused by bad coding

New York-based Vibranium Labs has raised $4.6 million in seed funding to develop AI agents that monitor, triage, and resolve IT incidents. The startup’s technology, dubbed "Vibe AI," integrates with a company’s existing incident response software and operates 24/7 to address outages and system failures.

The Problem and Solution

Founded by Tim Hwang, Sang Lee, Charles Kim, and Tanny Kang, Vibranium Labs aims to solve a common nightmare for software engineers: late-night emergency calls due to app failures. The team draws from their experiences at Google, AWS, and Fiscal Note to build AI agents that proactively detect and fix issues, including those stemming from vibe coding—a trend where developers use text prompts to generate code, often overlooking potential flaws.

"There are a lot of VCs that put a lot of money into vibe coding or coding assistant companies," said Hwang. "These applications are definitely going to break."

Market Opportunity

The startup sees growing demand for its product as more companies adopt vibe coding, increasing the risk of unstable applications. Vibranium Labs targets industries like finance, healthcare, defense, retail, and media, offering its AI agents on a per-usage pricing model.

The founders also highlighted the CrowdStrike outage of 2024 as an example of large-scale IT failures their technology could mitigate.

Funding and Investors

The seed round, closed in six to eight weeks, was led by Calibrate Ventures and Mirae Asset, with participation from a16z, Franklin Templeton, Plug and Play, Gaingels, Wildcard Capital, FalconX, and DCG. The funds will accelerate product development and expand the engineering and go-to-market teams.
