Claude AI now automates workflows across Canva Asana and Figma
Anthropic's Claude AI can now integrate with third-party apps like Canva and Asana to automate tasks and pull user data with a single click
Anthropic has upgraded its Claude AI system with new automation features that allow direct interaction with popular productivity tools including Canva, Asana, Figma, Stripe, and others. The update, announced Monday, enables Claude to pull data from these platforms and automate workflows without manual intervention.
How the Integration Works
The system uses connectors - digital gateways that link Claude to external services. Users can now:
- Generate quarterly reports from Stripe revenue data
- Update Asana workflows based on meeting notes
- Create Canva designs directly through chat prompts
- Track bug fixes by pulling data from Linear
"Claude is quickly becoming an essential creative partner," said Anwar Haneef, Canva's Head of Ecosystem. "Users can now generate, summarize, review, and publish Canva designs all within a Claude chat."
Accessing the New Features
The connector directory is now available for all web and desktop users. Integration requires clicking "Connect" to grant Claude access to third-party work data.
The AI Agent Landscape
This development reflects the broader industry shift toward AI agents - systems that autonomously interact with digital tools rather than just providing text responses. Competitors like OpenAI are pursuing similar strategies, with ChatGPT integrations expanding into platforms like WhatsApp.
Anthropic first demonstrated this direction in October with its computer use tool, which allows Claude to operate desktop applications like a human user.
