Founders and Mission
Founded in 2023 by Eunice Wu (CEO) and Can Uncu (CTO), Asepha aims to address critical bottlenecks in pharmacy care using AI. Wu, a Doctor of Pharmacy, brings extensive experience in pharmacy operations, while Uncu has a background in AI engineering, including work on AMD’s MI300X chip, which powers OpenAI and Microsoft Azure.
AI Solutions for Pharmacy Challenges
With 70% of pharmacies understaffed and pharmacists spending up to 90% of their time on administrative tasks, Asepha’s AI tools are designed to streamline operations:
- OCR Prescription Entry Agent: Processes handwritten prescriptions with 96% accuracy, reducing manual data entry.
- Call Agent: Automates 70% of inbound calls, freeing up staff time.
- Browser Navigation Agent: Performs real-time web-based tasks, improving workflow efficiency.
In validation experiments, pharmacists preferred Asepha’s AI responses over human responses 71% of the time in a double-blinded trial.
Funding and Growth Plans
The new funding will support Asepha’s engineering and go-to-market teams, expand global partnerships, and establish a New York City office. The company has already secured multiple Fortune 50 enterprise customers, signaling its early impact in the space.
