Intuit Introduces AI Agents to Automate QuickBooks Workflows
Intuit has launched AI agents for QuickBooks to automate workflows, provide real-time insights, and improve cash flow for businesses, combining AI with human expertise.
Intuit has unveiled a new set of AI agents for QuickBooks, designed to automate workflows and deliver real-time insights to businesses. The Mountain View, CA-based company announced that these agents, when combined with human experts, will help improve cash flow and save businesses up to 12 hours a month.
How the AI Agents Work
The AI agents are embedded within the Intuit platform, acting as a virtual team that handles tasks across customer relationship management, financial analysis, payments, and accounting. Businesses retain control while the agents streamline operations. Intuit showcased the functionality at an event in New York on June 24.
Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit
"Intuit’s AI-driven expert platform is transforming how businesses run and grow with first-of-its-kind agentic AI experiences," said Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi. "When our vast amounts of data and AI capabilities are combined with the power of trusted human experts, Intuit’s uniquely designed, integrated platform unlocks next-level efficiencies, profitability, and growth for businesses."
Key Features of the AI Agents
The new AI agents are part of a redesigned QuickBooks web layout, featuring a personalized homepage with customizable widgets and a business feed. The mobile app also received a modern interface for on-the-go access. The AI agents include:
- Payments Agent: Accelerates cash flow by predicting late payments, automating invoice tracking, and sending reminders.
- Accounting Agent: Automates bookkeeping, transaction categorization, and reconciliation.
- Finance Agent: Offers financial management tools like reporting, KPI analysis, and scenario planning.
Customer Hub Agents
Two additional agents in the Customer Hub (included in most QuickBooks Online plans) focus on sales and CRM:
- Customer Agent: Manages leads, drafts emails, and schedules meetings.
- Marketing Agent: Coming later this year, it will automate marketing campaigns via Mailchimp.
Future Releases
Intuit plans to roll out more AI agents for larger businesses in the coming months:
- Payroll Agent: Automates time tracking and payroll processing.
- Project Management Agent: Manages project quotes, milestones, and budgets.
Availability
The new features, including the web and mobile interfaces, AI agents, and Customer Hub, will be available starting July 1 for QuickBooks Online customers in the U.S.
