NVIDIA collaborates with Orange, Telefónica, Telenor, and others to build secure AI infrastructure for European enterprises, enabling generative and agentic AI applications.

NVIDIA has announced strategic partnerships with leading European telecommunications providers—Orange, Fastweb, Swisscom, Telefónica, and Telenor—to develop secure, sustainable AI infrastructure that empowers regional enterprises to deploy customized generative and agentic AI applications.

Empowering Europe’s AI Future

These collaborations aim to provide European businesses with accelerated computing resources and full-stack AI capabilities, ensuring data sovereignty and security while unlocking the potential of agentic AI.

Telco Leaders Driving AI Innovation

  • Orange Business joined the NVIDIA Cloud Partner program, leveraging its Live Intelligence platform to support enterprise AI deployment. Over 73,000 Orange employees already use AI for automation across Europe and Africa.
  • Telenor is expanding Norway’s first sovereign AI infrastructure, powered entirely by renewable energy, to boost AI adoption in sectors like public services and language translation.
  • Swisscom launched GenAI Studio and AI Work Hub, enabling Swiss enterprises to develop agentic AI agents securely on its NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD-based infrastructure.
  • Telefónica is piloting distributed edge AI across Spain, integrating NVIDIA NIM microservices for low-latency AI in government, finance, and critical sectors.
  • Fastweb developed MIIA, an Italian language model, trained on its NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputer.

Accelerating AI-Native 6G Networks

Over 200 organizations across 30+ countries are leveraging the NVIDIA 6G Research Portfolio to shape AI-native wireless networks. Key projects include:

  • University of Oulu using digital twin technology for AI-based wireless channel estimation.
  • ETH Zurich developing DUIDD architectures for data-optimized AI networks.
  • Fraunhofer HHI researching neuromorphic wireless cognition for robotics.
  • OpenAirInterface integrating AI across open RAN stacks.
  • University of Leeds designing agentic architectures for intelligent orchestration.

These efforts are supported by European initiatives like the 6G SNS and 6G Flagship Project, utilizing NVIDIA AI Aerial, Sionna, and CUDA-X.

Launching AI Blueprint for Telecom Networks

NVIDIA introduced its first AI Blueprint for Telco Network Configuration, an agentic AI solution that automates network optimization using customized large language models trained on 5G data.

  • Built with BubbleRAN 5G solutions, the blueprint enables AI agents to autonomously adjust network parameters in real time.
  • Telenor is the first to adopt this blueprint as part of its autonomous network transformation strategy.

Executive Insights

Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA: "Telecom providers are uniquely positioned to deliver AI infrastructure due to their connectivity networks and geographic reach. By partnering with NVIDIA, European telcos are evolving from connectivity providers to sovereign AI providers."

Knut Fjellheim, Chief Technology Innovation Officer at Telenor Maritime: "The blueprint is helping us address configuration challenges and enhance service quality during network installation."
