Neon, developed over several years, introduces three key AI-driven functions:
- Chat: A conversational AI assistant embedded directly into the browser, enabling users to query information, receive contextual summaries, or seek clarifications without leaving their current page.
- Do: Previously known as Browser Operator, this agent automates routine web tasks like form-filling, travel bookings, and online purchases. Opera emphasizes that these actions are processed locally, enhancing privacy and reducing server reliance.
- Make: A generative AI tool that creates websites, reports, code snippets, or visual assets. Complex tasks are handled in a cloud-based virtual machine, allowing asynchronous workflows even when offline.
Hybrid Processing Model
