Convenience-store veteran-run technology company Newtide has launched its artificial intelligence (AI) platform, RisingTide, focused on the fuel and convenience retail industry.
Industry Veterans Behind the Platform
Since 2023, three convenience-store leaders have been building the AI company. Newtide's founder and chairman, Doug Haugh, is the former president of Parkland USA. CEO Vlad Collak previously founded Talentr, an AI company acquired by Newtide. Brandon Huff, chief product officer, was formerly at Titan Cloud Software.
How RisingTide Works
The RisingTide AI agent integrates with customers' existing technology and uses data management and AI workflows to address:

- Trading and logistics
- Procurement and accounting
- Merchandising
- Retail operations
The platform transforms organizational data into business outcomes using both traditional machine learning and generative AI.
