Norm AI Appoints High-Profile Advisory Boards Including Ex-Davis Polk Partner and Blackstone Exec
Norm AI, developing regulatory AI agents for corporations and banks, has formed two advisory boards with top-tier members from Blackstone, Vanguard, and an ex-Davis Polk partner.

Norm AI, a company developing regulatory AI agents to monitor other AI systems within corporations and banks, has announced the formation of two strategic advisory bodies. This move follows a recent $48 million funding round and aims to guide the responsible deployment of AI in highly regulated industries.
AI Agent Advisory Committee Members
- John Stecher, Chief Technology Officer, Blackstone
- Jennifer Manry, Head of Corporate Systems, Vanguard
- Sastry Durvasula, Chief Operating, Information and Digital Officer, TIAA
- Alex Cook, Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Capabilities, New York Life Insurance Company
- Sri Viswanath, Former CTO of Atlassian, Current CEO of Coatue Ventures (an investor in Norm AI)
Regulatory Advisory Board Members
- Marshall Sprung, Global Head of Compliance at Blackstone, former Co-Chief of the SEC’s Asset Management Unit
- John Douglas, Chief Legal Officer of TIAA, ex-Partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell
- Matthew Watkins, Chief Compliance Officer of Coatue, former Deputy CCO at KKR
Additionally, Troy Paredes, a former SEC Commissioner appointed by President George W. Bush, has joined Norm AI as Senior Policy Advisor and Head of Capital Markets Strategy.
John Nay, CEO and Founder of Norm AI, stated: "We’re honoured to work so closely with the technology leaders of key institutions. The [AI agent board] was formed to convene leading technology executives from large enterprises to serve as a forum to facilitate the development of policies, strategies, and technical and architectural solutions for AI agents."
This move is notable for a young tech company, particularly one intersecting with legal tech, to attract such high-profile figures from top financial institutions. The advisory boards appear designed to reassure corporates—many of which are partially owned by the involved funds—about the reliability of Norm AI’s regulatory agents.
